Students had a great lesson in democracy by taking part in our mock election, voting on most of the same candidates and issues as were on the adult ballots.

Kids Voting Election Results

The 2018 Kids Voting election has ended. Nearly 30,000 students from 9 Central Ohio districts visited our DoubleClick Democracy voting site and voted. Individual schools can view their results via the DoubleClick Democracy login using instructions provided by your Kids Voting representative.

In many ways the student voting results mirrored the adults in these communities. Students chose U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown over his opponent, Jim Renaci  65% - 35%, and preferred Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rich Cordray (52%) over GOP opponent Mike DeWine (32%) and Green party candidate Constance Gadell-Newton (16%). Unsurprisingly, students strongly favored passing the levy to support the Metropolitan Franklin County Parks by a whopping 71%.
