KIDS VOTING YOUTH SUMMIT

Each year, Kids Voting hosts a unique event for high school students in our participating districts. Over the past eight years, more than 1,200 students have attended.

summitIn October 2008, more than 180 juniors and seniors took part in a Presidential Campaign Town Hall Meeting at the Statehouse, just two weeks before the November election.  Students met in small groups, discussed issues and developed questions on the hot topics of the campaign affecting young people.

Students asked campaign representatives about U.S. dependence on foreign oil, health care, housing and economic issues and much more.
